Boosting Production

The second press, more sophisticated than the existing press has eventually arrived at our factory. This is a four color press with automatic winder and re-insertion facility thus enabling to produce documents up to eight colors. The press has an incredible optimum capacity of 45,000 prints per hour. The press is also equipped with the double new generation punching system for longer life, an inline paper tinter that has the capacity to dye paper inline while printing and a file hold punching unit. The press has been installed and commissioned in the second part of this year and started production end of August. This has doubled the production capacity.

One of a few in Europe

During the month of October a paper slitting and packaging machine was installed and commissioned for Mountis Group. This machine is the first of its type in Cyprus and is one of a few in Europe. It is fully automatic with a capacity for quantities large enough to consider export markets. The slitter will produce till, calculator and paper rolls and has the capability of printing at the front or back of rolls up to full color details or logos. The slitted rolls of any diameter or length can be packed in any arrangement and sealed in plastic film for humidity protection.
The raw materials are imported from a number of countries all over the word in giant jumbo rolls and are loaded to the slitter with a power lifting arm for ease of operation.
The slitter can produce up to six thousand rolls per hour, sleeved and packaged into boxes. Individual packs are marked with specifications and with a unique bar code for ease of stocking and selling.
